Sealing system dominated under the multinational companies was developed successfully by a latecomer Korean small business through technical innovation.

Kim Hee-gyun, CEO of the specialized company for sealing & painting system said,

“We succeeded in localizing the booster pump which can control accurately to spray sealant.” It is a splendid achievement by a korean small company in global situation of only dozens which have the engineering design capability itself.

Sealing system is the equipment which sprays sealant as viscous adhesive on metal parts of vehicles, airplanes or ships in order to assemble them. In recent, automobile companies at home and abroad are increasing the applications of sealing system as a method of vehicle lightening to improve its mileage and emission of CO2. Sealing system can help the body of vehicle light more than the body applied conventional process with bolt, nut or welding.
The key that Shinhang as a latecomer can succeed in launching into the global market is change of constitution and technical innovation.

Since 1996 founded, she had made most sales from the painting equipment for vehicle till 2005.
After years, the global market of painting equipment had reached saturated and she began to focus on developing sealing systems

in order to find a new market.
She can get rid of the entry barrier by the global multinational companies and the existing domestic companies with an aggressive bench marking for advanced technology and also a bold and speedy investment.

After 10 years of her endeavor, she achieved the 15.5 billion won from sealing system, equivalent to 70% of 22 billion won of total sales.
Shinhang succeeded in developing the booster pump for sealing system which is able to control to spray sealant minutely on panels of body of vehicle. Booster pump is a kind of equipment to push out sealant in its cylinder with high pressure to spray on parts. She applied the spiral groove on inner surface of cylinder through the core technology developed by her own self instead of the conventional straight groove. Thereby she can spray sealant further more minutely. Mr. Kim, CEO said “The conventional pumps are used to cause frequently errors because of mixing between old and new material in cylinder. By our technology, new pump absolutely perform FIFO-First in, First out of material-so as to decrease error rate remarkably.”

Shinhang is making excellent results in global market. In 2015, the record of export reached 4.7 million dollars-more than 2 times over 2 million dollars in 2013. In recent, she obtained orders of project for sealing systems of body line from KIA Motors Mexico plant and KIA Yancheng plant in China.
